Philippine National Anthem
I think sharing this is just right for the occasion. PAL had a very nice in-flight video of our national anthem. Lovely shots here, specially of Boracay before it became crowded.

Check out the i-ring vibration speakers from CD-R King. According to the saleslady at CD-R King Greenbelt 1, no one ever took notice of this little monster. Yes, it’s a little monster.
It’s probably only as big as baseball and it’s quite compact. It works when you put it on a solid flat surface (wood, floor, glass, etc). The vibration it creates once on the surface transfers the sound… it sort of turns the whole surface into a speaker.. sort of.
Sound quality is decent but we love it for the cool way that it works. I’m sure Chewy will be doing his own review soon.
For Php1,180 - I justify this purchase based on coolness.

For those who find San Miguel apple flavored beer too sweet
mix one part of San Miguel apple flavored beer with 2/3 parts of san mig light. Or more precisely, one bottle of apple beer with 2/3 can/bottle of san mig light. You get all of the lightness, more malty taste without too much of the sweetness. yummy!

I miss the sounds of crickets and frogs when it rains at night. Come to think of it, I can’t recall the last time i heard frogs croak.

Meet my LG Optimus 2x phone.
It’s supposedly the first ever dual core phone running on Tegra, with specs sweet enough to make netbooks green with envy.
LG is running an interesting web-only promotion, and if you scoot over to http://lgoptimus.tmsmanila.com/ at the right date and time, you can get pretty good discounts from either the Optimus 2X or the Optimus black.
I was lucky enough to catch the first wave sale, and got a Php5,000 discount outright.
Props to www.yugatech.com for posting on his blog about getting a discount then. I was able to catch the last 5 minutes of the sale because of his post :-)

Finally! We get to try the new san mig “beers”
Lemon and apple flavors. We prefer the apple flavor though.
These babies are hard to find, and are only available at 7-11 stores (correct me if I’m wrong though)

Yummy jap food at Yaku - one of our “reliable” japanese restaurants, which can be found at the 3rd floor of Podium. We’ve been eating here even before they transferred to Podium - I recall them having a smaller place near CRC (UA&P) and they were known for their bbq sticks.
Prices are average for Japanese restaurants. The chirashi don pictured above cost me Php315, and three sticks of quail eggs cost about Php60.
Service is consistently good (for us) and the manager almost always would go out of his way to make sure that our family is comfy and happy with our orders.

Forgetting that the iPhone 4 takes in microsims, I haphazardly chopped and trimmed my sim to fit. It kinda worked. But then I found out that microsims are just 50 bucks a piece and will just take 15 mins to acquire.
oh well :-)
